Help your clients maximize the health of their inner ecosystems
If you want to help your clients enjoy truly good health, helping them nourish their inner ecosystems is important. A healthy community of probiotic bacteria supports the following:
- A strong and well-regulated immune system: Probiotics have been shown in hundreds of studies to both support a vigilant immune system and help regulate your immune response.*
- Comfortable and thorough digestion: Not only do probiotics support a healthy digestive system, they also play critical roles in helping your body break down certain nutrients and absorb them.In fact, they even produce critical nutrients like vitamin K2 and several B vitamins.*
- A healthy urinary and reproductive tract: Healthy microbes in your urogenital tract can occupy space and produce chemicals that keep troublesome microbes in check.*
- A sharp memory, good concentration and an overall positive feeling. Emerging research reveals that these tiny neighbors help your body produce neurotransmitters that shape the way your brain grows and functions.*
- A healthy heart, glowing skin and more…*
Primal Gut™ minimizes exposure to D-lactate and histamines
Parents, practitioners and people struggling with delicate digestive systems have raved about our formulations for particularly sensitive guts (GutPro™ and GutPro™ Infant). These formulations are geared toward people just starting their journeys to better health and those with extremely sensitive systems.
Once your clients have reached a certain level of healing, they can incorporate new strains with solid track records. With Primal Gut™, we included L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, L. paracasei, L. casei and L. breve. In doing so, we shared the same concern we have for people with sensitive digestive systems by creating a comprehensive, balanced formula.
As you’ll learn below, each of these strains have extensive research supporting their safety and efficacy in helping to revitalize your entire body.*
We also took into account the rate of growth of these strains, so they would help maintain the balance in your gut.* For instance, Primal Gut’s histamine degrading strains balance the histamine forming strains in the proper ratio. This way, you can maximize your benefits from probiotics while still minimizing your exposure to d-lactate and histamine.
But that’s not all we did to make sure this formula maximizes the benefits. See, most probiotics supplements are only 10% to 20% probiotics and 80% to 90% something else…
We’ve kept Primal Gut™ a pure probiotic formula.
- There are no excipients or fillers like silica or magnesium stearate.
- Nor are there any prebiotics like inulin or FOS.
And to make sure that this formula works for everyone –
- Primal Gut™ is free of common allergens! Every strain we use is grown on a dairy-free, soy-free, non-GMO, vegetarian culture.
13 synergistic probiotic strains
Primal Gut™ is a blend of 13 probiotic strains designed to work synergistically and proven by research to be safe and effective in supporting your clients’ microbiome when used with a healthy, real food diet.
Here’s a glimpse of what these strains can do for your clients…
Lactobacillus rhamnosus – Perhaps one of the most prominent Lactobacillus bacteria in the gut, research states L. rhamnosus supports a strong respiratory system, helps keep inflammation in check, and encourages a healthy intestinal lining.* It has also been used in protocols for children and adults with diarrhea.*
Lactobacillus acidophilus – L. acidophilus is one of the most common probiotic in supplements and foods like yogurt. It produces lactic acid and hydrogen peroxide that some troublesome bacteria don’t like. By doing so, it seems to help keep the community of microbes in your intestines healthy and balanced. Clinical research has linked L. acidophilus to keeping the urogenital tract healthy and to supporting immune system strength.* One clinical study showed L. acidophilus helped schoolchildren make it through the winter with less absences.*
Lactobacillus plantarum – No less than four clinical trials have shown that L. plantarum helps support comfortable digestion – helping to minimize gas, bloating, and abdominal pain.* One of the most common probiotics, L. plantarum seems to help regulate your immune response, reducing inflammation in the body*. Not only does L. plantarum stimulate the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines like IL-10, it also seems to stimulate the production of regulatory T-cells.*
Preliminary studies indicate that L. plantarum may help you strengthen your memory, concentration and improve your mood.*
Lactobacillus paracasei – L. paracasei have been shown to support comfortable digestion in a number of ways, including by helping to regulate inflammation. It’s also been linked to healthy cholesterol levels, healthy blood pressure and a balanced, strong immune system.*
In a 2014 study on 34 healthy individuals, researchers found that supplementing with L. paracasei not only added this helpful bacteria to your intestine. It also seemed to shift the composition of the microbial population overall in their intestines. L. paracasei seemed to move the entire microbiome towards species associated with good health.*
Lactobacillus gasseri – L. gasseri has been shown in at least two clinical trials to help people lose weight. In a 2013 trial published in the British Journal of Nutrition, participants who supplemented with L. gasseri lost at least 8% of their abdominal fat over the course of 12 weeks.* Research is still ongoing on the exact mechanism, but it seems L. gasseri interferes with fat absorption.* Preliminary research indicates that L. gasseri may inhibit inflammation signaling at the genetic level!*
- gasseri have been shown in studies to help your body regulate cholesterol levels in the blood.*
Lactobacillus salivarius – Several clinical trials on both adults and children indicate that L. salivarius seems to help regulate the immune system and – as a result- support healthy skin.* It’s also been researched for potential support in keeping the vagina healthy and comfortable.* L. salivarius also seems to play a distinct role in keeping the microbial population in your mouth healthy. *
Lactobacillus brevis – First isolated from a traditional Japanese pickle, L. brevis is found in many fermented foods. Dr. David Perlmutter, author of Brain Maker, considers it one of the core probiotics we all need for good health. He points out that it seems to support healthy brain growth by increasing production of the brain growth hormone, BDNF. Clinical research suggests it also helps with intestinal health and immune strength.* Preliminary research indicates it can trigger an increase in production of interferon in the body and enhance activity of killer T cells. One large-scale clinical study showed it seemed to make a significant difference in keeping children healthy over the winter season.* Some clinical research also suggests it can help support vaginal comfort and health by adhering to vaginal walls and making it an unfriendly environment for more troublesome microbes.*
Bifidobacterium infantis – B. infantis is the primary microbe in infant guts. It seems to play a critical role in establishing a healthy intestinal lining and a strong and well-regulated immune system.* But its work doesn’t end with infancy. Research has also linked it to helping mitigate inflammation in the digestive system and throughout the body.* In three different studies, B. infantis seemed to reduce the production of inflammatory cytokines, signaling the immune system to cool off.* When it comes to your brain, B. infantis also plays a role. Research suggests B. infantis regulates the production of tryptophan which is the precursor for serotonin. Serotonin is the neurotransmitter associated with a sense of satisfaction and happiness. *
Bifidobacterium breve – B. breve has been linked to helping with childhood constipation.* And when combined with a gluten-free diet, B. breve can help restore microbial balance in the digestive tract of children who have experienced some intestinal inflammation.* B. Breve seems to play a particular role in helping to establish a healthy microbiome . . . A few clinical trials involving pre-term babies demonstrate it works particularly well in getting their gut back in shape. Clinical research suggests this special bacterium is particularly effective in re-colonizing the gut of children who have undergone chemotherapy.* The children who took this probiotic seemed to recover better from the treatment without any complications that are usually associated with chemotherapy.
Bifidobacterium longum – One of the first bacteria to colonize our bodies at birth, B. longum has been associated with helping to digest milk and other challenging foods. A placebo-controlled clinical study on 33 children with some digestive discomfort showed that in combination with a gluten-free diet, B. longum not only helped them grow taller but also showed some indications of keeping their immune system strong and balanced.* B. longum has also been linked to helping you maintain healthy cholesterol levels.*
Bifidobacterium lactis – In one eye-opening study, when pre-term babies were given B. lactis after taking antibiotics, they gained an amazing four times as much weight as the babies given the placebo. And interestingly, these babies gained more weight even though they consumed less milk!* In this same study, researchers observed signs that B. lactis helped the babies’ immune systems develop effectively.* But this bacterium isn’t just for babies . . . Extensive research has shown that B. lactis is a superstar when it comes to abdominal comfort and good digestion. It seems to help get your colon in shape and make constipation a thing of the past. *Finally – and significantly – preliminary lab research indicates B. lactis shows exciting promise in neutralizing certain toxins from wheat.*
Bifidobacterium bifidum – A 2015 clinical study published in the British Journal of Nutrition showed B. bifidum helped academically stressed college students make it through the winter semester. The students who took B. bifidum had much fewer absences than the students who didn’t take the probiotic. Another clinical study indicates B. bifidum may help with abdominal discomfort, gas and bloating.* And a recent randomized placebo-controlled study also showed that B. bifidum can help with stress-related diarrhea.* Finally, clinical research published in May, 2016 Journal of Rheumatic Diseases suggests that B. bifidum can help you maintain comfortable joint movement by helping your body manage inflammation.*
As you can see, Primal Gut™ gives you a carefully selected mix of probiotics, proven to bring healthy results.
What to expect when starting Primal Gut™
Primal Gut™ is designed for comfort. We’ve carefully calibrated the different strains to minimize the potential problems associated with other probiotics formulas.
Nonetheless, your clients may experience a little discomfort in the initial two weeks of starting. Like with all probiotics, as your clients rebalance their internal ecosystems, some of the bacteria that are pushed out may not leave gracefully. As these unwanted bacteria “die off,” they can cause side effects that can make your clients feel mildly dizzy, nauseous or headache-y. This is a typical response to starting with probiotics.
What your clients won’t experience – however – is this kind of discomfort over the long term. Within a few weeks, the body should have cleaned out the debris and regained balance.
If this initial discomfort is too much, we suggest decreasing the amount of powder taken. And then slowly increase the amount. Some of our customers start with a tiny bit, or ⅛ of the “drop” on our spoon set (the “drop” is 1/64 of a teaspoon)! Even at this small amount, your clients will receive billions of well balanced CFUs.
Once this initial transition phase ends, your clients will start seeing the benefits of this finely-tuned complete probiotic mix.
Young children (3-5 years of age): Add a pencil point amount of Primal Gut™ Powder to your child’s food and increase slowly over time or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Do not go beyond half of the smallest measuring spoon (“drop”). May be taken once daily or every other day.
Older children (5-12 years of age): Add an eighth or a quarter of the smallest measuring spoon (“drop”) of Primal Gut™ Powder to your child’s food and slowly increase over time to half or all of the smallest measuring spoon. For sensitive children and children closer to the age of 5, do not go beyond half of the smallest spoon. May be taken once daily or every other day.
Teens and adults: Start the protocol by adding a quarter to half of the smallest measuring spoon (“drop”) of Primal Gut™ Powder to food and increase over time to a full “drop.” May be taken once daily or every other day.
Please keep the probiotics refrigerated and always capped for long-term storage. Do not remove the moisture packet inside the bottle. Make sure the spoons are very clean and dry before using them with the powder for best results.
